What is Gift Aid?

If you are a UK Taxpayer you can add Gift Aid to your giving. Gift Aid is a government initiative, where the basic rate of tax you have already paid on your giving is relinquished to the charitable organisation you are giving to. For example, for every £1 you give, Doxa Deo Community Church receives £1.24.

The first time you add Gift Aid to your giving, you will need to setup a Giving ID. This is done by filling in the Gift Aid declaration on the Giving Envelope. From then on you simply quote your Giving ID each time you give and Gift Aid is automatically added to your giving.

Please download and print the Gift Aid declaration form and complete the details. We will need an original copy of this declaration so please bring this with you on a Sunday and place in the offering container. Alternatively you can post the Gift Aid declaration form to the following address:

Doxa Deo Community Church
Gift Aid
Suite 1
444 Ewell Road

If you give by standing order, please use your Giving ID as the transaction reference, so we can claim gift aid on these amounts. For other electronic forms of giving please make sure you complete the questions regarding gift aid.

Also, if you are in a higher income-tax bracket, then you can claim back the tax on your giving, which is above the basic rate. You can contact HMRC for guidance on how you can make this claim.

If you have any queries with regards to your giving please email [email protected]

Weekend Celebration Giving

There continue to be opportunities at all our gatherings to give cash or cheques by filling out the details on the envelope on your seat and placing it in one of the offering containers.

Checking the box for Gift Aid on the envelope if you’re a UK taxpayer takes your giving that bit further. (See the Gift Aid tab and/or complete a Gift Aid Declaration to activate this).

Cheques can be made payable to ‘Doxa Deo Community Church’.

Principles for Generosity

Giving is one of the central themes in the Bible. Jesus talked more about this subject than he did even about love, heaven, hell, or prayer. To understand what it means to be a Christ-follower we must also understand what it means to be generous with our resources.
First Things First
The first fruits principle is that the first of our labour / income is set aside to God. We find this principle all through God’s Word. Tithing, giving God the first 10% of our income to the local church where a person connects, is a primary, practical way we acknowledge that God is first.

Know Generosity; Know Life
Generosity is the antidote for materialism. While tithing first fruits is giving 10% of your income to your church, we see an offering as giving outside of a given sum; it is giving over and above the tithe. The Bible says that by giving generously, we are able to “take hold of the life that is truly life.” You aren’t really living unless you are freely giving. We love being generous.

We believe in the biblical principle of generosity.

When everyone cares for the principles of tithes and offerings, it provides context for a healthy community and organisation.

We give because it affirms the Lordship of Christ over our lives!

We give because it releases more people into ministry!

We give because together our giving is amplified for the transformation of our city and our communities.

"For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD,
As the waters cover the sea."

Habakkuk 2:14
