The Kingdom in Us

1. THERE WAS A TIME where The Kingdom of God was to come ~Mark 1: 4-5 4 John appeared, baptising in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptised by him in the river Jordan ~Mark 1: 7-8 7 And he [John] preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I have baptised you with water, but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit.” 2. THERE IS A TIME whereby The Kingdom of God has come ~Luke 17: 20-21 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he [Jesus] answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, 21 nor will they [people] say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” 3. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A TIME where The Kingdom of God reigns ~Luke 1: 32-33 JESUS REIGN IS ENDLESS He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” ~Hebrews 1: 1, 8 - JESUS REIGNS Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 8 Of the Son he says, “Your throne, is forever and ever, he sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of your kingdom. ~1 Peter 1: 3-4 - JESUS’ REING IS GIVEN 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading….. ~Galatians 4: 6-7 - SPIRIT OF GOD & INHERITANCE because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. ~Galatians 5: 18, - PRESENCE OF GOD & INHERITANCE …if you are led by the Spirit, you will inherit the kingdom of God. ~Ephesians 3: 14-19 14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family[c] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over expecting different results.” ~Ephesians 1: 20-23 MSG God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.
