Faith for New Beginnings

Summer Sessions #5 FAITH FOR NEW BEGINNINGS ........ During the summer Sundays we’re taking a more relaxed and conversational approach to the moments we call impartation - perhaps the more usual approach would be to teach and preach on a topic, a book or a subject - but this months impartation is going to come in the form of conversation and questions to individuals who I feel might offer some gems of wisdom to all of us in what it is to be a follower of Jesus - in the Doxa Deo context, a City Changer. Share your questions with us today by emailing [email protected] or you can connect with us through the website on the link below https://www.ddcc.org.uk/contact/ ~GENESIS 12: 1-3 MSG {The example of Abraham} God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you. I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you, I will curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.” ~MATTHEW 28: 6-7 MSG {The resurrection of Jesus} The angel spoke to the women: “There is nothing to fear here. I know you’re looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed. ~EPHESIANS 4: 20-24 AMP [Reproduction of Godly Character} …you did not learn Christ in this way! If in fact you have [really] heard Him and have been taught by Him, just as truth is in Jesus [revealed in His life and personified in Him], that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. ~1 PETER 1: 3 MSG {Jesus Dies so we could Live} What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now!

From Series: "Summer Sessions"

During the summer Sundays we’re taking a different approach to the moments we call impartation - where the more common approach would be to teach and preach on a topic, a book or a subject, this month will be in the form of conversation with individuals whose life experience might help exemplify and inspire us with gems of wisdom in what it is to be a follower of Jesus, as we refer to A City Changer.
